Charles and Marie Nickel and Lois Tynes of Franklinton announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their children, Susann Nickel, and Charles Tynes.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Elden and Esther Nickel, and D. and Lois Jarrell. She is a 1992 graduate of Pine High School and is pursuing a degree in nursing at Delgado Community College.

The prospective groom, the son of the late Charles Wesley Tynes, is the grandson of the late Jay and Elvie Warren, and the late Oliver and Alma Tynes. A 1990 graduate of Pine High School, he is employed by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.

The wedding will be solemnized on Saturday, July 27, at 4 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church in Thomas, with Justice of the Peace Jack Whaley conducting the ceremony.

Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to attend the wedding and reception.
