Gene D. Erwin

Gene D. Erwin, born May 12, 1942, passed away Nov. 25, 2015, at his residence at the age of 73.

Gene was a retired machine operator at the Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill and worked as a machinist at Stennis NASA Space Center for 14 years. Gene loved to fish and enjoyed the outdoors.

Gene is survived by a son, Jodi Erwin and a daughter, Tammy Erwin Spears, both of Bogalusa; two grandchildren, Shelby Spears Winstead and Colby Spears; a nephew, Cecil “Lucky” Erwin (Kelly) of Bogalusa; special friends, Frances Seal and Audrey Steen; and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emille and Rachael Reviere Erwin.

A memorial will be held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 5, beginning at 10 a.m., until the service time at 1 p.m. Chaplain Dave Ziegler will officiate the services at the funeral home.
