Linda Hodgin

Linda Lambert Hodgin, born Aug. 17, 1948, went home to be with the Heavenly Father on April 27, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of Bogalusa and a member of Redwood Baptist Church. She served our community as a nurse to provide healthcare. She was an LPN and worked in Feliciana Home Health, the Dept. of Corrections at Dixon and transferred to Rayburn Correctional Facility where she retired in 2015.

She leaves behind three daughters, Lori Taylor and her husband James of St. Francesville, Beth Tycer and her husband Robert of Angola, and Kim Hodgin and her friend John Kennedy of Walker; two sisters, Betty Imogene Holloway and her husband Gary and Paula Harper and her husband Ed, all of Bogalusa; a brother, James Lambert of Franklinton; grandchildren, Caleb Crum, Chaney Crum, Tiffiny Semashko, Ashli Tycer, Abbi Tycer and David Tycer; one great-grandchild, Harper Crum; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Downey and Betty Scruggs Lambert; her husband, David Lavelle Hodgin; and a grandson, Colten Crum.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 1, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, beginning at 10 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. The Rev. Pete Underwood officiated the services, with the interment following in the Shiloh Church of Christ Cemetery located in Husser.

Pallbearers were Ed Harper,Wes Harper, Brad Holloway, Caleb Crum, Robert Tycer, John Kennedy and James Taylor. The honorary pallbearer was David Tycer.
