Dakota Reid Pace, 24, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 in Bogalusa. He was a Life Scout in Troop 86, he was in the ROTC for two years at St. Paul High School, and attended Annunciation Catholic School.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Nancy Pigott and Wendell Cook; his daughter, Skyler Elizabeth Pace; his girlfriend, Megan McGrath; his father, Floyd Pace; grandparents, Robert and Lyn Pigott; step-sister, Jennifer Cook; step-brother, Wesley Cook; aunts and uncles, Jimmy (Cindy) Pace, Donice (Kenneth) Crawford, Kathy Pigott, Bobbi Jo (Troy) Breland, and Doug (Sheila) Pigott; a special grandmother, Lucille “Mama Lou” Carter; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Mattie Mae Pace, and Hubert “Pop” Carter; and his maternal great-grandparents, Robert J. and Meita Pigott, John D. Hooker and Jackie P. Crawford.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 13, from 9: 30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Kelly Penton officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Doug Pigott, Troy Breland, Wynn Galloway, Mike Richard, Lee Penton and Herbert Penton.
