BPD: ‘Missing person’ case now being investigated as a homicide
On Saturday morning, officials with the Bogalusa Police Department announced that they have opened a homicide investigation, in connection with the recent disappearance of Dominique James, 29, of Bogalusa.
In a Facebook post, BPD officials wrote:
“The Bogalusa Police Department extends our condolences to the family of Dominique James. Detectives would like to thank everyone, including the WPSO, the DEA, the Louisiana State Police, the Dept. of Homeland Security and the National Guard for their assistance in the search for James.
“BPD detectives will now change their efforts to a homicide investigation. If anyone can offer any information leading to the arrest of those responsible, detectives would appreciate your information.

No other information about the case was immediately available as of Monday morning.
