The Bogalusa Italian American Club is preparing for its beloved annual St. Joseph’s Altar, an event that brings together the community for a celebration of tradition, faith, and delicious food. The event will take place on Friday, March 14th and Saturday, March 15th at the Dobyns Center, located at 517 Avenue B, Bogalusa.
The festivities will kick off on Friday, March 14th at 6 p.m. with the blessing of the altar, followed by a Rosary and a time for fellowship with refreshments. This special tradition is a way to honor St. Joseph and bring the community together for a meaningful and spiritual gathering.
On Saturday, March 15th, the day will begin with a Rosary at 10 a.m., setting the tone for a day of prayer and celebration. The highlight of the event will be the traditional “Feeding of the Saints”, where the community comes together in a beautiful expression of devotion and gratitude.
Afterward, the public will be invited to enjoy a delicious lunch, featuring a variety of classic Italian dishes, including pasta, breads, vegetables, and an assortment of sweets and treats. The meal is a way to share in the joy of the occasion and enjoy the culinary traditions that are central to the St. Joseph’s Altar celebration.
