Our brother Glenn Michael Caillouet, 61, passed away Feb. 20, 2025 in Baton Rouge, La. after a long struggle with health issues. Born Dec. 31, 1963 in Galliano, La. to Dianne Vuillemot Caillouet and Gilbert E. Caillouet MD. Glenn was baptized into the Catholic faith. He graduated from Chamberlain Hunt Academy in Port Gibson, Miss. and Southwestern Louisiana University in Lafayette, La. He initially taught school around South Louisiana, finally settling in the Baton Rouge area. Glenn created visual art, wrote poems and prose, composed songs, sang and played guitar, and had an entertaining spirit. He was preceded in death by his parents, his oldest sister, Leslie Anne Caillouet, and his best friend, sweetheart, and soulmate, Tamra Dawn Wells. Glenn is survived by his siblings Michelle, Gilbert E. Jr, Alexis, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Very special mention must be made of Lori McClendon Champagne and Terri McClendon, daughters of the late Belle McClendon Walton, all of whom were long associated with Gilbert Sr. and whom Glenn loved as deeply as his family. Glenn chose cremation. Memorial arrangements are pending.
