Our Lady of the Angels Hospital, LSU Rural Family Medicine and Southeast Louisiana Area Health Education Center recently joined together for Central Elementary School’s Teddy Bear Clinic.
The team interacted with the students to teach them various aspects of healthcare. These future healthcare heroes visited various stations to have their new furry friends receive a “check-up” and learn about x-rays and imaging, wound care, anatomy, healthy eating, handwashing, breathing and more.
Needless to say a bear-y fun time was had by medical personnel and students alike.
