Brilliant Mindz Community Center is proud to announce its Safe Sleep Class Program for 2025, aimed at educating families and caregivers on vital infant safety practices. These free classes are available to Washington Parish residents and are open to expecting mothers, parents or caregivers of infants aged one year or under, grandparents, daycare employees, and more.

Classes will be held at the Brilliant Mindz Community Center located at 644 Ave. F in Bogalusa.

Participants will receive education on:

• Safe sleep practices for infants

• SIDS and SUID prevention

• Drug awareness

• And more essential topics to help reduce unintentional infant deaths

Our mission is to protect the youngest members of our community by ensuring families have access to life-saving information and resources.

As a bonus, one free crib per household will be provided upon completion of the class (while supplies last). Cribs are only available for Washington Parish families with an unborn baby or infant under the age of one. In cases of twins, families may be eligible for more than one crib. Only one parent or caregiver must be present to qualify. No children are allowed during the class session. The program organizer reserves the right to determine crib distribution eligibility.

2025 Class Dates will be Monday, May 12, 2025 – 5:30 PM; Monday, June 9, 2025 – 5:30 PM and  Tuesday, July 8, 2025 – 5:30 PM

Space is limited for each session and preregistration is required. Pre-registration form link is available on the Brillant Mindz facebook page. Registered participants will be notified of their class acceptance. Dates and times are subject to change; updates will be posted on the Brilliant Mindz Facebook page.
