SPECIAL TO THE DAILY NEWS
Pine High School’s Beta Club has been recognized nationally for its outstanding commitment to service, earning the prestigious 2025 National Beta All Star Service Award. This honor, awarded by The National Beta Club, highlights Pine High’s remarkable dedication to community involvement and leadership.
To earn this distinction, the PHS Beta Club logged an impressive average of 50-75 service hours per member throughout the year. These hours reflect the students’ tireless efforts supporting their school, community, and state through various volunteer initiatives and outreach programs.
Service is one of the four foundational pillars of National Beta, alongside achievement, character, and leadership. The organization’s motto, “Let Us Lead by Serving Others,” encourages students to make a meaningful impact through service. Pine Betas have embodied this ideal, contributing significantly to the more than 1.89 million hours of service completed by Beta members nationwide this year.
In addition to time volunteered, Beta Clubs across the country collectively raised over $2 million for charitable causes and organizations, demonstrating the profound influence of student-led service efforts.
Pine High School now stands among an elite group, being one of only 121 schools in the nation to receive this distinguished award in 2025. The recognition serves as a testament to the hard work, compassion, and leadership of PHS Beta members and their advisors.
As Pine continues to foster a culture of service and excellence, the PHS Beta Club’s accomplishments inspire others to lead with purpose and give back to their communities.
