SPECIAL TO THE DAILY NEWS

May marks Mental Health Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues and the importance of emotional well-being. As part of this initiative, a Well Being Expo was held to provide the community with valuable information, resources, and support services related to mental and physical health.

The expo served as an outreach effort to connect individuals and families with local organizations and programs that offer crucial services. By bringing together professionals and organizations from across the region, the event helped highlight the importance of mental health care and ensured that community members are aware of the help that is available to them.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to all the partners who made this event possible. Special recognition goes to Zellco, WalMart, Early Childhood Community Network, Ochsner, Leaner, Department of Student Services, Access Health, Essential Rehab, Bogalusa Mission, Pinewood, Special Education Department, Robyn Chastant and Kelton Collins.Your dedication to community wellness and commitment to improving access to care are deeply appreciated.

As we continue to honor Mental Health Awareness Month, we encourage everyone to prioritize their mental well-being, seek help when needed, and stay informed about the resources available in our community.
