On June 7th an All Women’s Pool Tournament  was held at Back Water Barn in Bogalusa, LA. Entries were few, but the ones who did compete had fun. Pat Wheat, Linda Randolph, Annie McClain, Sheri Simpson, Connie Judge and Rachel Fletcher. Matches stared at 3:15 p.m. Competition was slow but intense. Every match played had some skills, others lots of luck. As the matches started to dwindle down skill was a factor. Annie got to the Hill first, and in the loser’s bracket, Rachel and Sheri battled for 3rd and 4th places. In the end Sheri won the match and advanced to the next round. The next match between Pat and Sheri, it was Pat that claimed the victory.

The final match was played between Annie and Pat for first and second place positions. Pat beat Annie two games to one to put Annie in the loser’s bracket also.

Another match would have to be played to determine the first and second place finish. In the second match Annie won the first game, Pat won the second game. A third games had to be played and it got down to the eight ball to win. Both players had a shot at the eight ball for the win. Annie got the shot and took the win.

Annie McClain claimed first place, Pat Wheat took home second place, and Sheri Simpson placed third. Congratulations to the winner and thanks to all who competed in the tournament.
