The Washington Parish had an exciting start to their Summer Reading Program this year. Ranger Martin, with the Dinosaur Experience, came to teach participants about dinosaurs and what it was like when they roamed the earth.
Squeals and cheers were heard at every location when Ranger Martin was joined by his prehistoric pals. Young readers were able to interact with the dinosaurs while learning fun facts about the creatures and then enjoyed making a variety of crafts.
The libraries would like to thank the Washington Parish Friends of the Library and the Louisiana Office of Cultural Development, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Greater Baton Rouge Arts Council for making programs like this available. The branches also thanked local businesses and clubs for donating refreshments.
