Donald B. “Pete” Richardson’s life began in Bogalusa on Oct. 6, 1941.  He died in Baton Rouge on June 20, 2025.  During his time in Bogalusa he excelled at bowling and won many trophies. In the 1960’s, he and other residents from the area commuted to New Orleans to work at Boeing’s Michaud plant where they worked on production of the Saturn V rockets that sent astronauts to the moon.

He lived in Baton Rouge for 55 years.  He retired from Rubicon Chemical after 22 years of work there.  He spent his spare time bowling, playing pool, and playing golf with friends and coworkers.  The many friends he made while working and after his retirement  enjoyed his stories, jokes, and lively personality.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, H.C. and Margaret Richardson; his brothers, Van and Ray, and his twin sister, Suzie.  He is survived by his wife, Cathy; his son, Bruce; daughter-in-law, Michelle; granddaughter, Alivia, and  nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Pete’s life will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St. in Baton Rouge on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  All who enjoyed knowing him are invited to attend.
