Walter Alton Combee Jr.

Walter Alton Combee Jr., a native of Bogalusa and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the age of 69.

Walter graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University before starting a career in advertising. He attended Parkview Baptist Church. Walter enjoyed LSU sports, hunting, music, and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Alton Combee Sr., and Jimi-Ruth Talbot; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leroy K. and Willow Watkins Branch; his brother-in-law, John Branch, and his sister-in-law, Ruth Branch.

Walter is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rebecca B. Combee; his mother, Sandra Combee; his sons, Walter A. Combee III and Andrew K. Combee (Zoe); his daughter, Emily Randall (Tyler); his sisters, Cathy C. Barber (David) and Kim C. Miller; his brother-in-law, Pat Branch (Garnett Sylvest), and several nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 2:30 p.m.    A Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
