Road Closure Scheduled on LA 25 for Pipe Replacement Near Warnerton

Full closure to begin June 23; detours in place for northbound and southbound traffic

WASHINGTON PARISH — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced a full road closure on LA 25 in both directions, approximately one-half mile south of Warnerton, to allow for vital road maintenance work.

Beginning Monday, June 23, 2025, at 6:00 a.m., maintenance crews will remove and replace a 96-inch pipe approximately 80 feet long beneath the highway. The closure is expected to remain in place through Saturday, June 28, weather permitting.

The closure spans from just north of Paradise Drive to approximately one-half mile south of LA 438 in Warnerton. No vehicles will be permitted to pass through this section of LA 25 during the maintenance period.

Detour Routes:

  • Northbound Traffic: Motorists may detour via LA 38 in Clifton, travel west to LA 438 in Mount Hermon, then east on LA 438 to reconnect with LA 25 in Warnerton.
  • Southbound Traffic: Drivers should take LA 438 in Warnerton west to LA 38 in Mount Hermon, then travel east on LA 38 to LA 25 in Clifton.

DOTD urges drivers to use caution, watch for signage, and be mindful of crews and equipment working in the area.
