Good luck to local teams in the playoffs tonight

It’s the week of the high school football season that fans look forward to each year.
The playoffs.
It’s win or go home time for the four Washington Parish football schools in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.
It doesn’t matter what happened in the regular season or your playoff seed because right now, everybody in the playoffs is 0-0.
If you can figure out how to go 1-0 for each of the next five weeks, you get to hoist that championship trophy, while standing on the floor of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Continue to win, you get to check the brackets to see who your next opponent will be and begin making plans for your game the following week.
But one slip up and the season is over.
That’s the scenario for Bogalusa, Franklinton, Pine and Varnado, as those schools head into the postseason.
All four of them are playing tonight at 7 p.m., and three of them are at home.
Bogalusa, the only road team of the group, made it as the 23rd-seeded team and travels to face 10th-seeded Loranger. These Class 3A schools should be familiar with each other. They play in the same district and they faced each other last week. Loranger won that game, 44-26.
Pine is in a similar boat as Bogalusa. The Raiders made the Class 2A postseason as the 15th-seeded squad and they face 18th-seeded St. Helena College & Career Academy. The clubs are in the same district and played each other just last week. St. Helena won, 36-21.
Franklinton is in the Class 4A postseason as the No. 3 seed and faces 30th-seeded Washington-Marion.
In Class 1A, 14th-seeded Varnado is home and takes on No. 19 Ringgold.
