Della Mae Davis, age 91 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at her residence.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Phillip (Betty) Davis of Birmingham, Ala., and Scottie L. Davis of Roanoke, Va.; three daughters, Linda Franklin and Diane Covington, both of Franklinton, and Bronice Duplessis of Clifton; two brothers, Charles Bell of Clifton and Elester Bell of New Orleans; one sister, Selma Bickham of Tacoma, Wash.; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ollie Bell; one son, Michael Davis; four daughters, Gernora Bickham, Verdean House, Creola Davis and Phyllis Davis; two brothers, Vero Bell and Oliver Bell; and two sisters, Dorothy Mae Hart and Mattie Causey.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, with the Rev. Johnny Causey officiating. Interment will be held in Bell’s Cemetery.
