Dewitt and his wife are active members of Palestine Baptist Church. They are the parents of two daughters and grandparents to three granddaughters.
With more than 26 years of business experience, he has worked with both national and international multi-billion dollar companies such as Hewlett Packard, Philips Medical and Siemens Medical.
According to his announcement, his successful affiliation with these companies is supported by a Masters of Business Certificate, advanced management strategies, and business essentials I and II from the Tulane University School of Business.
He also holds certificates of achievement in Lean Six Sigma and a Six Sigma Green Belt from Villanova University. The advanced techniques taught in these university programs are sought by various types of businesses to manage data, improve quality performance measures and manage and produce business growth.
“These skill sets will be used to expand the essential fundamental duties of the 4th Ward Marshal’s office and provide residents with a profile of parish activities,” his announcement reads in part. “These skills could also be used to cooperate with other city and parish leaders in decision making to move the community forward and assist in advancement of the parish in several different areas.”
Williams is seeking community support to assist in implementation of a new set of strategies for the advancement of the parish.
