Betty Lou Duncan

Betty Lou Duncan, age 80, passed away Aug. 6, 2014, at Our Lady Of Angels Hospital. She was a resident of Bogalusa and a member of Church of United Faith.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, the Rev. Robert J. Duncan of Bogalusa; one son, Robert Samuel Duncan of Bogalusa; five daughters, Betty Faye Bufkin of Enon, Patricia Ann Duncan of Bogalusa, Sandra K. Stafford of Franklinton, Shirlene Magee of Bogalusa and Rebecca Lynn Blount of Holden; three brothers, the Rev. Walton Wheat, Oneal Wheat and Jerry Wheat, all of Crossroads, Miss.; two sisters, Ruby Miller of Meridian, Miss., and Rose Odom of Crossroads; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Mabel Wheat, brothers the Rev. Billy Ray Wheat, Luther Wheat and Joey Wheat and one sister, Pearlie Warner.
Visitation will be held Friday at The Church of United Faith on Marshall Richardson Road in Bogalusa. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at 8 a.m. until time for service in the church at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Hillview Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Jerry Duncan, the Rev. Kirk Hoelzel and the Rev. Charles Warren will officiate.
