Archie Letroy Grimes II, age 45, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Troy was a first responder in Bogalusa for many years.

He is survived by a daughter, Courtney Martin Grimes of Franklinton; a son, Archie Letroy “Trey” Grimes III of Bogalusa; his sister, Tracy (Vincent) Chauvin of Bogalusa; a brother, Todd (Rhonda) Grimes of Bogalusa; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Donna Lawrence Grimes.

A memorial will be held on Tuesday, June 24, at Memorial Baptist Church in Bogalusa, with visitation from 2 p.m. until time for service at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Troy Grimes Memorial Fund at Capital One Bank in Bogalusa to assist with funeral expenses.
