Edith Faye Evans, 61, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Bogalusa, passed away Monday, Sept. 30 at Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet.

She retired from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office after 30 years, and currently was employed with Southeastern Louisiana University’s security service.

Edith is survived by her sister, Sarah Evans (Jesse) Williams of Zachary; two nephews, Paul (Cala) Williams of Rose Pine and Mark (Lisa) Williams of Zachary; and a niece, Amy (Jason) Easley of Madison, Miss.

Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 4 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. in Baton Rouge, from 6-8 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Sat-urday from 11a.m. until time for the memorial service at noon. Please visit www.greenoaksfunerals.com to leave condolences.
