RAMSEY
On Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, the sweet Angel of Mercy carried away the spirit of our beloved Charles H. Ramsey Jr. He left this temporal world and began his journey to his everlasting home in heaven.
He was born on Nov. 24, 1944, to Charles Ramsey Sr. and Loyola “Lola” Brumfield Ramsey. He confessed his love for Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending and participating in Sunday school.
He leaves to cherish his memories, Clara Wilson; one daughter, Margaret Wilson of Atlanta; a stepdaughter, Jerrie Ladner of Lacombe; one son, Larry (Nina) Dillon of Franklinton; one brother, Guiard (Debra) Ramsey of Franklinton; three sisters, Brenda Brumfield of Mt. Hermon, Francis (Albert) Magee of Franklinton and Hildra (Kenneth) Martin of Bogalusa. Charles’ legacy of love continues through his six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephew relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 16 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton from 2-6 p.m. with a family hour from 6-7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church at 11 a.m., with George Butler, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
