PICOU
Nellie Glynn Fisher Picou, 74, a resident of Franklinton, went home to be with her Lord at 9 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
Born Jan. 13, 1939, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed every moment she spent with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Wiltz Picou Jr.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wiltz Picou III and wife Janet of Franklinton, Mark and Paula Picou of Gastonia, N.C., and Steven and Tamara Picou of Amarillo, Texas; three sisters, Betty Sue Bordell of South Carolina, Janice Stewart of Houston and Judi Corts of Mexico; 11 grandchildren, Ryan Picou, Alex Torres, Cody Williams, Shay Picou, Megan Frady, Dustin Mason, Dante Picou, Marcus Picou, Marianna Picou, Mason Picou and Olivia Picou; and one great-granddaughter, Natylee Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Floyd Fisher and Vera McClinton Fisher; two brothers, James Floyd Fisher Jr. and Morris Fisher; and two sisters, Evelyn Trebes and Francis Dixon.
Visitation was held Monday, June 24 at Bethel Baptist Church from 6-8 p.m., and continued on Tuesday from 9a.m. until time for the service at 11a.m., with the Rev. Joe Kelly officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Crain Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
