Charles and Debra Taylor of Bogalusa are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Christy Monique Taylor, to Christopher Demond Montgomery, son of Carl and Iola Montgomery of Jayess, Miss.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Johnnie and Ella Lott of Franklinton and the late Robert Taylor and Ola Mae Taylor of Bogalusa. She is a 2004 graduate of Bogalusa High School and received her bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2008. In 2011, she received her master’s degree in student personnel services (counseling) from Northwestern State University. For the past two years she has been employed as a counselor at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Alton and Ethel Montgomery of New Orleans and Gonez and Ada Bridges of Jayess. He is a 2002 graduate of Salem High School in Tylertown, Miss., and in 2006 he received his bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from Alcorn State University. He is employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Federal Grain Inspection Division.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, July 13 at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness in Franklinton.
The newlyweds will reside in Kenner.
