Billy Ray Causey

CAUSEY

Billy Ray Causey was born in Washington Parish in 1961, the elder son of Arizona “Bill” Causey and Madora Conerly Causey of Franklinton. He departed this life Tuesday, June 11, 2013, in Boutte.

He graduated Franklinton High School in 1979 and worked for Jacobs Industries for more than 20 years.

His father, Arizona “Bill” Causey, preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Terri Thomas Causey; one daughter, LaChante’ (Christopher) Matthew of Bogalusa; one son, Damorrial “Pedi” (Whitney) Causey of Grammercy; his mother, Madora Conerly Causey; a brother, Clifford Ray (Crystal) Causey of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Sharon (Donald) Briggs of Covington, Trease Dawson of Memphis and Mary (Demetrius) Wells of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation and funeral services were held at Mt. Airy Baptist, 13635 Old Spanish Trail in Boutte, on Thursday, June 19, with the final viewing at 5 p.m. and funeral services at 7 p.m. Eld. John Vaultz officiated.

Dismissal took place on Friday at Magee’s Temple Church of God in Christ in Franklinton, with the final viewing at 9 a.m. and dismissal service beginning at 11 a.m.

Interment followed at Lear’s Hill Cemetery.
