MAGEE

Dorothy B. Magee, 68, born Feb. 22, 1945, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at her residence in Franklinton.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Marcus Magee of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Carmen Marie Brown of Franklinton, Stephanie Renee Brown of Richmond Hill, Ga. and Sheila Lynette Brown of Kentwood; one son-in-law, David Villar of Detroit; one brother, Roy J. Brown of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Anna Lee Warren and Louise Barnes, both of Franklinton; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ottomee Ginn and Nercelia Brown; her husband, Millard Magee; one daughter, Linda Joyce Brown Villar; five brothers, Calvin Ginn, Charles Ginn, Earl Ginn, Willie J. Brown and Otis Brown; and five sisters, Katherine Dillon, Verlean Ginn, Willie Mae Dillon, Ida Mae Dillon and Pearlie Dawson.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 21 from 2-5 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Magee’s Temple Church of God in Christ, with Supt. Cecealine Tate officiating. Interment follow in Bethel Cemetery.
