Franklinton keeps rolling on

Franklinton extended its school record winning streak to 19 games Wednesday, defeating non-district opponent Fisher, 7-3, in a game held at Pat Kennelly Diamond at Alumni Field on Southeastern Louisiana University’s Campus.

Winning pitcher Will McCullough threw five strong innings, allowing two unearned runs with eight strikeouts and four walks.

Terrance Robinson tossed the final two frames, giving up one unearned run with four strikeouts and a walk.

Offensively, Josh Magee tripled twice and drove in two runs. Tanner Jenkins went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Jared Varnado recorded a pair of hits in four at bats, including a triple. Morgan Angelo finished with one hit and two runs scored.

The Demons (19-5, 7-0) attempt to make it 20 in a row this afternoon at 4 in the district finale at Lakeshore.

Bogalusa falls

to Jewel Sumner

Bogalusa suffered a 6-2 loss to Jewel Sumner in Tuesday’s game on the road.

Travion Harris and Eli Hatcher both recorded one hit for the Lumberjacks.
