Arthur Eldon Desoto “AC” Chain, 53, born Nov. 25, 1958, went to meet his lord and savior on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at 12:05 a.m.
His occupation was a pipe fitter for 30 years. His favorite hobbies included hunting and fishing. He was an active member of Victory Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Albers Chain of Franklinton; children, Adam Huette of Tylertown, Miss., Melissa Slaven, Kelly and Adam Monsibaiz, Jacob Albers and Matthew Albers, all of New Mexico, and Christopher and Tara Albers of Franklinton; seven grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Yancy and Susan Chain of Mt. Hermon, Danny and Betty Chain and Ricky and Vonda Chain, all of Franklinton, Glenn and Felicia Chain of Vinemont, Ala., Billy and Becky Bonin of Tylertown, Michael Chain of Tylertown and Michael and Shelly Mitchell of Hackley; one sister and brother-in-law, Mae and Dale Walters of Franklinton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Cecilia Jeralene Chain Mitchell; dad, Cleon Chain; stepdad, Hollin L. Mitchell “Pappy”; stepmom, Dorthy Chain; and sister, Kathy Chain.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6 at Crain Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., and will resume Wednesday at 9 a.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Larry Archote and Rev. Larry Sylvest officiating. Burial will follow at Rushing Cemetery in Tylertown.
