Foul play is not suspected in the death of a Bogalusa man, whose body was discovered inside his burned car last week near Sun.
Travis Adair, 33, was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Thursday, Aug. 27. He was driving on a small dirt road off Louisiana Highway 21 near Sun where he apparently lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway. The vehicle caught fire following the crash, and Adair became trapped inside.
St. Tammany Parish Coroner Dr. Charles Preston said that the cause of death was asphyxia due to smoke inhalation.
The body of Adair, 33, whose address was listed as 10470 Hunt Jenkins Cemetery Road in Bogalusa, was badly burned. It was identified through a comparison of dental records, Preston said.
