Evelyn Duncan

Evelyn Addie Duncan, 85, born Jan. 23, 1930, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 1, 2015.

Evelyn was a long time resident of Bogalusa and a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Bogalusa.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Duncan Seal and her husband Houston of Varnado and Deborah Duncan Potter and her husband Robert of Bogalusa; a sister, Willie Mae Burge of Sylvarena, Miss.; one grandchild, Kevin Seal and his wife Tonja; three great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Seal, Malarie Jenkins and Coley Jenkins; and other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, W.B. and Evie Beech Bufkin; her husband, Melvin Duncan; a son, Larry Duncan; a brother, Buddy Bufkin; a sister, Ava Jean Magee; and a granddaughter, Jessica Potter.

Visitation was held Thursday, Sept. 3, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m. Rev Travis Houston officiated the services with David Wilson taking part of the service. Interment followed in the Ponemah Cemetery.
