David Edwin Tynes, 60, of Robert, passed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at Northshore Specialty Hospital in Covington.

Tynes, a loving husband, father and grandfather, was born on Aug. 30, 1955, in New Orleans.

He was survived by his wife, Cindy Fornea Tynes of Robert; two daughters, Jennifer Tynes Peak (David) and Cathryn Leigh Tynes, both of Denham Springs; a son, Matthew Collum of Gonzales; his mother, Faye Adams Tynes of Robert; one sister, Debbie Caldwell (Frank) of Bush; and six grandchildren, Chloe Peak, David Peak, Liam Peak, Kinsley Peak, Connor Tester and Cayden Tester.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 4, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., with the Rev. David Rockett officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
