Pauline Gentry Holloway Harmon, 87, of Baton Rouge, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Monday, Oct. 5, 2015.
She was a native of Bogalusa. She retired as a nursing supervisor from Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was a founding member of Family of Faith Baptist Church. She was a giver and was known for her community service of bringing her home-cooked meals to the elderly and sick.
She was an avid gardener, amateur bird watcher and a landscape painter. She loved to read the Bible and to sing gospel music.
She is survived by her children, Anna H. Koepp and husband, Glenn, Raymond Holloway and wife Cathy; daughter-in-law, Donna Holloway; nine grandchildren, Donald Holloway, Michael Holloway, Thomas Holloway, Dr. Kelli Jones, Heather Guitreau, Elizabeth Holloway, Casey Holloway, Cooper Koepp and Daniel Koepp; 12 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, and Jonathan Pete Holloway, Joseph, Benjamin, and Madeline Holloway, Hayden and Alexander Jones, Riley and Reed Guitreau, Jacob and Austin Holloway; two sisters, Dorothy Lang and Betty Merritt; and one brother, John Gentry.
She is preceded in death by the father of her children, J.T. Holloway; two sons, Pete and Alan Holloway; daughter-in-law, Diane Holloway; mother, Jeanette E. McCollough; and brother, Jack Gentry; and two sisters, Ruby Seals and Althea Reynolds.
Visitation will be held at Family of Faith Church, 10748 Perkins Road, in Baton Rouge, on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, 610 Ave. F in Bogalusa, on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m.
Interment will follow in Hillview Memorial Gardens in Bogalusa. Pallbearers will be Michael Holloway, Thomas Holloway, Corey Jones, Cooper Koepp, Daniel Koepp and Jeff McAlpine. Honorary pallbearers will be her Sunday school class.
