Myra “Jeannie” McAllister Temples, born July 5, 1955, passed away at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans on Dec. 11, 2015, at the age of 60. She was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Anthony of Hammond; a brother, Johnny McAlister of Ponchatoula; a sister, Linda Anthony of Loranger; three grandchildren, Wyatt , Hagan and Landon Populis; a half brother, Donnie Porrino; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Irma McMillan McAllister; three brothers, Redus McAllister, Carl McAllister and Charlie McAllister; and two sisters, Sadie McAllister and Melba Faye McAllister.

Visitation was held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 13, beginning at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and resumed Monday, Dec. 14, after 11 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m.

The Rev. Doyle Ball officiated the services and the interment followed in the McGehee Cemetery.
