Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 6 at the Warnerton Quick Stop on Highway 25 north of Franklinton, Chief Deputy Mike Haley said.
Video surveillance shows the suspects driving by the business in a silver or light blue colored vehicle similar in design to a Nissan Altima. They then parked the vehicle on the edge of the highway and broke into the building. Stolen from the business were an unknown number of cartons of cigarettes and several rolls of change, mostly quarters.
The first suspect was wearing dark pants and a sweatshirt with the hoodie pulled tight around his head. He used a tee shirt over his face to conceal his identity. The second suspect was wearing a light colored long sleeve shirt and pants with a full ski mask covering most of his face. The third suspect was wearing dark sweat pants and a dark sweat shirt with a hoodie. He also covered his face with a mask. Each of the suspects was wearing what appeared to be kitchen type rubber gloves.
“If anyone has any information about this business burglary, I ask them to call the Sheriff’s Office at (985) 839-3434 and tell us what you know or suspect,” Sheriff Randy Seal said. “Any information will be important to our investigation and you do not have to identify yourself. We are anxious to identify these three burglars and put them in jail.”
