Oscar Kelly McCain Sr., 77, a resident of Bogalusa, born on Oct. 28, 1938 in Tylertown, Miss., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, in Bush.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn McCain; his parents, Andrew McCain and Della Knight McCain; and stepmother, Wilma Hodges; one great-granddaughter, Abigail Breland; one stepson, James Gerald; one sister, Winnie Stallings; three brothers, Winford D. McCain, Huey P. McCain and Melvin McCain.

He is survived by two sons, Oscar Kelly McCain Jr. (Vicki) of Bush, and Robert McCain (Donna) of Franklinton; two sisters, Margaret Smith of Dallas, Texas, and Cathy Smith of Norwood; seven grandchildren, Johnathan McCain, Kristie Breland, Cody McCain, Austin McCain, Kyle McCain, Catelyn McCain and Logan McCain; four great-grandchildren, Ryan McCain, Nathaniel McCain, McCollee Ezell and McKenzie Ezell.

Visitation will be held at Terrace Missionary Baptist Church on Wednesday, Dec. 30, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue at Terrace Missionary Baptist Church on Thursday, Dec. 31, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with Elder Billy Ray Hines, Elder Ray Hodges and Elder Billy Pierce. Interment will follow at Hines Cemetery in Stateline, with Full Military Funeral Honors by the U.S. Army.
