Baking to help missionaries

- COURTESY PHOTO Pleasant Hill Baptist Church members had a bake sale on Wednesday, Dec. 23 at the church to benefit the church’s Women’s Missionary Union. Cakes, pies, cookies, candies and brownies were all for sale. The event was previously scheduled for the Country Super Store on Louisiana Highway 60, but inclement weather forced the sale to the church. The next bake sale is tentatively scheduled for Mother’s Day on May 8. Church members, from left, Kerrie Branch, Ashton Smith and Elizabeth Ballard display their wares.
