Pauline Wheat, 71, born on Sept. 2, 1944, a resident of Crossroads, Miss., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at Highland Community Hospital in Picayune, Miss.

She is survived by her loving husband, William Eugene Wheat of Crossroads; one son, James Lloyd Jenkins of Bush; one sister, Carol Dessens of Metairie; two grandchildren, Stefany Elaine Jenkins and Jamie Nicole Jenkins; and also numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Albert Held; her mother, Emma Dell Held Montet; her stepfather, Milton Montet; and a brother, Lloyd Held.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m.
