Mr. Oliver W. Watson, 70, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, in Chicago, Ill.

Mr. Watson was a native of Bogalusa but had been a resident of Chicago for more than 45 years.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Watson of Chicago, and one daughter, Angela of Chicago; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bennie Watson of Shreveport and Gerald Watson of New York; two aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Watson; and four brothers, Paul, Hamilton Jr., Walter Ray and Charles.

The funeral services were Monday, Jan. 11, at A.A. Rayner Funeral Home in Chicago.

Interment followed in Elm Wood at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
