Achille E. Bougere

Achille E. Bougere, 95, a resident of Bogalusa, born on Jan. 5, 1921, in New Orleans, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, at Rest Haven Living Center in Bogalusa.
He was a World War II veteran and served in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vernell Bougere; and his parents, Edward Bougere and Mary Margaret McReynolds Bougere.
He is survived by two daughters, Jill Stogner (Tillman) of Bogalusa, and Susan Wright (John) of Winter Garden, Fla.; one son, Alan Bougere (Missy Rowley) of Hattiesburg, Miss.; 11 grandchildren, Mark Richardson, Todd Richardson, David (Nanami) Grevemberg, Sarah Bienvenu, Mathieu Bougere, Elizabeth Bougere, Stephen (Sarah) Stogner, Scott (Paula) Stogner, Adam Wright, Aaron Wright and Amanda Wright; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorial graveside services will be held Saturday, Jan. 23, at Garden of Memories, 4900 Airline Drive, in Metairie, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. John Wright officiating and military graveside services by the U.S. Navy.
