The sweet Angel of Mercy moved in quietly on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, and bore the spirit of Shantell A. Butler in Bogalusa.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Dwayne Butler of Bogalusa; her mother, Mary Baker of Bogalusa; her father, Wilton Baker of Bogalusa; two sons, Kendrick Baker of Houston, Texas and Jamikal Baker of Bogalusa; two stepsons, Dwayne Butler Jr. of New Orleans and Dwayne Butler Jr. of New Orleans; one daughter, LaKeiasha Baker of Bogalusa; three stepdaughters, LaToya Butler of New Orleans, Sheena Butler of New Orleans and Dwan Butler of New Orleans; three sisters, Latecia (Otis) Robertson of Tylertown, Miss., Cecelia Baker of Bogalusa, and Quanda (Aubrey) Fuller of Bogalusa; grandparents, Joseph Jackson of Bogalusa; 13 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Ora Fland and Erme Robinson; and grandfather, Will Robinson.

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 5, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m., with minister Gregory Russell officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
