Barney Glenn Miller Sr.

Barney Glenn Miller Sr., 73, of Bogalusa, was born May 28, 1942, and passed away at his home Feb. 28, 2016.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1962 through 1966, and was a private E1 and medic.
He is survived by eight children, Gregory Sr. (Robin) Miller, Craig Miller, Annette (Joey) Landrum, Dina (Troy) Morin, Pam (Mike) Westmoreland, Crystal (Billy) Adams, B.G. Jr. (Mandy) Miller and Roy White; 18 grandchildren, Greg Jr. (Brandalyn) Miller, Savannah Miller (Grayden McDaniel), Baily, Karleigh, Karsen and Madelyn Miller, Kandice (Jason) Kelly, Brett (Windy) Landrum, Kennady, Madison, Cameron and Brayden Morin, Will, Nathan and Isabella Adams, and Cameron, Payton and Brie’anna Miller; two great-grandchildren, Avery Kelly and Bellamie Miller; and three step great-grandchildren, Brayden, River and Remington.
He is also survived by three brothers, William and Clyde Miller, and Herbert Culberth; one sister, Inez Mullins; and many family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Mildred Miller; sister, Marie Lacey; brothers, Doby, Shelton, Elvin, James and Lofton Miller; a grandchild, Devyn Morin; and a great-grandchild, Tanner Miller.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 4, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, located at 57500 Knapp Thomas Road in Bogalusa. Pastor Pete Underwood will officiate. Burial will follow at Pounds Cemetery.
