Kevin received an honorable discharge and then served four years in the Naval Reserve from 1992 to 1996 as BMSA Kevin Sea.

He began a career at Rayborn Correctional in 1993 and is currently ranked Master Sergeant. He is in charge of a DOTD Crew and serves as a CPR instructor for the prison.

Kevin met his wife Tonja in 2008 while she was principal at Byrd Avenue in Bogalusa. Kevin and a crew of inmates were assigned to Byrd Avenue to complete repairs around the school. Kevin and Tonja began dating in 2009 and were married on July 14, 2010 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and haven’t really left their honeymoon.
