Daisy L. Jones, 68, born on Sept. 29, 1947 in Decatur, Ala., passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at her residence in LaPlace.

She is survived by one daughter, Lela Henry (Robert); three sons, Henry Scott (Renee), Joey Scott (Trinidad) and Bobby Scott Jr. (Marlene); four sisters, Bonnie Ladner (DeWayne), Cathy Nobles (Harry), Frances Gaiser, and Brenda Morgan; 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Jones; her parents, Robert Lee Baker and Lela Thompson Baker; step-father, Oliver Rollins; her sisters, Sarah Daniels and Marie Wolfe; her brothers, Charles Baker and Raymond Baker; and brothers-in-law; Richard Gaiser and Randy Morgan.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Sunday, April 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Scott Oxner officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
