Jimmy Karl Polk, 81, born on May 3, 1935 in Bogalusa, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at his residence in Sandy Hook, Miss.
He was a U.S. veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Regan Payne of Sandy Hook; two stepsons, Bryan Payne of Bolivar, Tenn., and Brandon Payne of Foxworth, Miss.; two step-grandchildren, Olivia Payne and Tanner Payne; nieces and nephews, Johnnie Polk, Jimmy Polk, Patricia Polk of Luling, and Jan Johnson of Florida.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria Polk; his parents, James K. Polk and Beulah Nobles Polk.
Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Rev. Timothy Bass and Rev. Sammy Foxworth officiated. Interment followed at Isabel Baptist Church Cemetery with military graveside services by the Magic City American Legion Post #24.
