Olin W. Carrier, a resident of Bogalusa, born Oct. 10, 1942, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016, at Good Samaritan Living Center in Franklinton, at the age of 73.

He is survived by his wife, Helga Carrier of Bogalusa; one daughter, Julie Hibbs of Los Alamitos, Calif.; one step-daughter, Diana Whittemore of Tylertown, Miss.; two grandsons, Wayne Wallace “Zach” Elliot and Bo S. Whittmore; two brothers, Louis Carrier of Bogalusa and Rodney Carrier of Bogalusa; two sisters, Shirley Pittman of Foxworth, Miss., and Jo Ann Mitchell of Bogalusa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Myrtis Carrier; three sisters, Velma Graham, Doris Narretto and Ollie Smith; and three brothers, Elbert Carrier, Sidney Carrier and Gary Carrier.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 6 p.m. The Rev. Chad Jenkins will officiate the service.
