A Bogalusa woman was arrested Friday, July 8, and charged with a series of felonies including carjacking following a July 5 complaint.
According to Police Chief Gene Crosby, Bogalusa police received a report of a battery at 1:46 p.m. on July 5.
“We investigated and one thing led to another,” Crosby said.
In this case, it led to a warrant for the arrest of Triuna Shunveranique Allen, 26, on charges of carjacking, principal to simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and battery-second degree.
Crosby declined to offer details of the incident, as he said the case is still under investigation.
However, Crosby said Allen was arrested without incident after she showed up at the police station for an unrelated matter.
“She came to the police station to talk to officers about an incident and she was advised there was a warrant and she was placed under arrest for the warrants,” Crosby said.
That arrest was July 8 at 4 p.m.
The case will be heard in district court and Allen was booked in the parish jail on July 12.
