The Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival, in Bogalusa’s beautiful Cassidy Park, will have a lot of attractions besides its two stages of stellar musical performances on Sept. 23-24.

The family-friendly event will include a “Kids Zone,” and will offer kids of all ages harmonica and even didgeridoo workshops, plus the opportunity to take part in a drum circle. Children aged 12 and under get in free.

Of course, as a Louisiana festival, there will be a wide range of succulent food, including seafood platters, crawfish pie, shrimp and grits, smoked sausage poboys, and snacks like roasted peanuts, snowballs, and nachos. And although sign up is closed to food vendors, it remains open for vendors of quality, hand-made arts, crafts, soaps and even jellies.
