From staff reports
Project Save Bogalusa announced on Thursday that they will continue through the weekend to collect food, clothing and other necessities for Louisiana residents who are suffering from the recent floods.
Anyone who would like to donate supplies may drop them off at Seal Trucking, 401 Ave. U, behind Walmart.
This is drop-off and volunteer headquarters at this time, not a distribution center. Those interested may follow the group’s Facebook page to get updated distribution information and locations, as they plan to move south next week.
The group is also asking for volunteers to help with the effort this weekend.
Supplies needed for donation include: water, cleaning supplies (flood buckets), personal hygiene items, school uniforms and supplies, garbage bags, toiletry items (toothbrush/paste, deodorant, etc.), non-perishable foods, pet supplies, feminine products, baby diapers and supplies, towels, bedding, and cleaning rags.
There is also a pronounced need for baby diapers.
The group will only accept clothing that has been sorted by the following categories: baby clothing, child male, child female, adult male and adult female.
Items will not be accepted unless they are sorted, due to the fact that it takes too much manpower.
