David H. “Boo” Seal, 56, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016.

He was a retired operator for International Paper Box Factory, a member of Memorial Baptist Church and an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Magee Seal of Bogalusa; a daughter, Leigha Beth Seal (Josh Miley) of Bogalusa; two sons, Tyler Seal of Bogalusa, and Casey Varnado (Melissa) of Madisonville; a granddaughter, Olivia Miley; two grandsons, Aiden Varnado and Conner Miley, all of Bogalusa; his mother, Mary Helen Seal of Bogalusa; three sisters, Kathy Sumrall (John) and Lori Dickson (David), both of Bogalusa, and Shari Turni (Gene) of Covington; and also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, co-workers and fishermen.

He is preceded in death by his father, Murton Seal Jr.; and grandparents, Murton Seal Sr. and Jeanette Seal, and Tillman and Annie Chapman.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, Sept. 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The funeral services will begin at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Field Thigpen and Ben Nevers officiating. Intement will follow at McGehee Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Zeus MCCA Den and the members of PRSC “Pearl River Single Circuit” Fishing Club.
